Privacy policy and legal notice
What we do with your information, in plain English. Last updated 3 October 2026.
Who we are
Get It Upheld is a trading name of Left Form Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17494164). Full company details are in our terms of use.
Left Form Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described on this page. You can contact us about anything on this page at [email protected].
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to give us: your email address if you join the waitlist, and whatever you send us if you contact us.
- Answers you type into our free checkers stay in your browser. They aren't sent to us.
- We count visits using cookie-free analytics. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- We never sell your information.
What we collect and why
If you join the waitlist
We store your email address, the type of dispute you picked (if you picked one) and the date you signed up. We use this only to tell you when Get It Upheld opens, and to understand which disputes people most need help with.
Our lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we'll delete your details.
If you contact us
We keep your name, email address and message so we can reply and deal with what you've asked. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions about our service.
When you visit the site
Like any website, our servers handle technical information such as your IP address and browser type so the site can load and stay protected from attacks. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. We don't use this information to identify you or build a profile of you.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they view and how they found us. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites and doesn't identify you personally. We see only combined totals. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used so we can improve it.
Free checkers
The eligibility checkers on our flight and parking pages work entirely in your browser. What you type into them isn't sent to us or stored by us.
Cookies
We don't set analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from bots and abuse. Because it's strictly necessary, it doesn't need your consent.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They only process your information on our instructions:
- Cloudflare hosts the website, stores waitlist sign-ups in a database in Western Europe and provides our cookie-free visitor statistics.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on the site, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
- Our email provider handles messages you send to us.
Some of these companies are based outside the UK. Where your information is transferred abroad, it's protected by UK-approved safeguards, such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK's international data transfer agreement.
We'll only share your information with anyone else if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until 12 months after we launch, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first.
- Messages to us: up to 2 years after our last contact with you, unless we need them longer to deal with a complaint or legal claim.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information
- stop or limit how we use it
- give you your information in a format you can take elsewhere
Email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month. It's free.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Children
Get It Upheld is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this page
We'll update this page when what we collect or how we use it changes, for example when we open accounts and start helping with cases. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make an important change that affects you, we'll email you.
