Terms of use
The rules for using getitupheld.co.uk. Last updated 3 October 2026.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of getitupheld.co.uk, including our guides and free eligibility checkers. Get It Upheld is a trading name of Left Form Ltd. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Left Form Ltd, and "you" means anyone using the site.
By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. How we handle your personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
2. What Get It Upheld is
Get It Upheld provides general information and self-help tools to help you understand and pursue consumer disputes yourself.
- We are not a firm of solicitors and we do not provide legal advice. Left Form Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
- We do not act for you or represent you. No solicitor–client or other professional relationship is created by your use of the site.
- For complex or high-value matters, we recommend seeking independent advice from a solicitor or Citizens Advice.
3. Free checkers and guides
Our checkers and guides explain how UK rules, such as UK261 and EU261 for flights and the Traffic Management Act 2004 for council parking, typically apply. They are based on the information you enter and on our understanding of the rules at the time of writing.
- Results are an indication only. They are not a decision on your case and do not guarantee any outcome.
- Rules, amounts and deadlines can change, and the outcome of a dispute depends on its full facts. Please check the position with the relevant organisation or an official source before relying on it.
- Examples on the site, including example cases and amounts, are illustrative and do not describe real customers.
4. Your responsibilities
- You decide whether to pursue a dispute and what to send, and you are responsible for what you submit to any organisation.
- You are responsible for meeting any deadlines that apply to your case, including appeal and court deadlines.
- You must give accurate information and must not use the site to make false, exaggerated or fraudulent claims.
5. Waitlist and paid services
Our paid services are not open yet. Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to buying anything. When paid services launch, separate terms of sale will apply to any purchase, setting out what you're buying, the price, and your rights, including your right to cancel within 14 days where that applies.
6. Other organisations and websites
We are independent of any airline, local authority, parking operator, ombudsman, tribunal or appeals service referred to on this site, and we are not endorsed by them. Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
7. Our content
The content on this site, including text, guides, checkers, letter templates and design, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it, and adapt our letter templates, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish or sell it, or use it to provide a service to others, without our written permission.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the site for any unlawful purpose
- scrape, copy or harvest content or data from the site by automated means
- try to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems it runs on, or interfere with how it works
- introduce viruses or other harmful material
We may suspend or restrict access to the site if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.
9. Availability
The site is provided free of charge. We aim to keep it available and accurate, but we don't guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.
10. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
Subject to that:
- we provide the site and its content for general information only, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it in place of professional advice
- we are not liable for the decisions or actions of any airline, local authority, parking operator, ombudsman, tribunal or other third party
- we are not liable for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses, as the site is for personal use
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we launch new services. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The version in force when you use the site applies.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
